MORRISON HOTEL

Era il mio compleanno, dovevo scegliere, ricordo ancora, tra THE DOORS, WAITING FOR THE SUN, questo, L.A. WOMAN, e varie raccolte. 2) "Waiting for the sun" ha una bella copertina. Questi sarebbero i Doors? Mah! Non era il massimo e me ne accorgevo, però riusciva a farmi gasare, con la traccia già citata, WAITING FOR THE SUN, YOU MAKE ME REAL, MAGGIE M’GILL. Anche i “lentoni” INDIAN SUMMER(assomiglia a THE END) e THE SPY mi attiravano, però mancavano di qualcosa.

Elenco tracce testi e video

01   Roadhouse Blues (04:04)

Yeah!

Keep your eyes on the road, your hands upon the wheel
keep your eyes on the road, your hands upon the wheel
yeah, we're goin' to the roadhouse
we're gonna have a real
good time

Yeah, back at the roadhouse I got someone to love
yeah, back at the roadhouse I got someone to love
dance for the people
like to go down slow

Let it roll, baby, roll
let it roll, baby, roll
let it roll, baby, roll
let it roll, all night long

Do it, Robby, do it

Yau gotta roll, roll, roll
yau gotta thrill my soul, all right
roll, roll, roll, roll
thrill my soul tonight

passion lady, passion lady
give up your vows, give up your vows
save our city, save our city
right now

Well, i woke up this morning, i got myself a beer
well, i woke up this morning, and i got myself a beer
the future's uncertain, and the end is always near

Let it roll, baby, roll
let it roll, baby, roll
let it roll, baby, roll
let it roll, all night long

02   Waiting for the Sun (03:59)

At first flash of Eden, We race down to the sea.
Standing there on freedom's shore.

Waiting for the sun. Waiting for the sun. Waiting for the
sun.

Can you feel it, now that spring has come?
That it's time to live In the scattered sun.

Waiting for the sun. Waiting for the sun. Waiting for the
sun.
Waiting for the sun.
Waiting...

Waiting for you to
Come along.

Waiting for you to
Hear my song.

Waiting for you to come along.
Waiting for you to Tell me what went wrong.

This is the strangest life I've ever known.

Can't you feel it, now that spring has come?
That it's time to live In the scattered sun.

Waiting for the sun. Waiting for the sun. Waiting for the
sun. Waiting for the sun

03   You Make Me Real (02:52)

I really want you
Really do
Really need you baby
God knows I do
'Cause I'm not real enough without you
Oh what can I do?

You make me real
You make me feel
Like lovers feel
You make me throw away mistaken misery
Make me feel love
Make me free
Oh c'mon

I really want you
Really do
Really need you baby
Really do
Well I'm not real enough to love you
Oh what can I do?

You make me real
Only you baby
Have that appeal
So let me slide into your tender sunken sea
Make me free love
Make me free
Oh yeah

You make me real
All right
You make me feel
Like lovers feel
You make me throw away mistaken misery
Make me free love
Make me free
Make me free
You make me free

04   Peace Frog (02:49)

There's blood in the streets, it's up to my ankles
She came
There's blood on the streets, it's up to my knee
She came
Blood on the streets in the town of Chicago
She came
Blood on the rise, it's following me

She came just about the break of day
She came and then she drove away
Sunlight in her hair

She came
Blood in the streets runs a river of sadness
She came
Blood in the streets it's up to my thigh
She came
Yeah the river runs down the length of the city
She came
The women are crying red rivers of weepin'

She came into town and then she drove away
Sunlight in her hair
Indians scattered on dawn's highway bleeding
Ghosts crowd the young child's fragile eggshell mind

Blood in the streets in the town of New Haven
Blood stains the roofs and the palm trees of Venice
Blood in my love in the terrible summer
Bloody red sun of phantastic L.A.
Blood screams the pain as they chop off her fingers
Blood will be born in the birth of a nation
Blood is the rose of mysterious union

There's blood in the streets, it's up to my ankles
Blood in the streets, it's up to my knee
Blood in the streets in the town of Chicago
Blood on the rise, it's following me

05   Blue Sunday (02:12)

06   Ship of Fools (03:10)

07   Land Ho! (04:10)

08   The Spy (04:17)

I'm a spy in the house of love.
I know the dream, that you're dreamin' of.
I know the words that you long to hear.
I know your deepest, secret fear.
I'm a spy in the house of love.
I know the dream, that you're dreamin' of.
I know the words that you long to hear.
I know your deepest, secret fear.
I know ev'rything. Ev'rything you do. Ev'rywhere you go.
Ev'ryone you know.

I'm a spy in the house of love.
I know the dreams, that you're dreamin' of.
I know the words that you long to hear.
I know your deepest, secret fear.
I know your deepest, secret fear.
I know your deepest, secret fear. I'm a spy, I can see
you
What you do.
And I know.

09   Queen of the Highway (02:47)

She was a princess,
Queen of the highway.
Sign on the road said,
"Take us to Madre."
No one could save her.
Save the blind tiger.
He was a monster,
Black, dressed in leather.
She was a princess,
Queen of the highway.
Now they are wedded,
She is a good girl.
Naked as children
Out in the meadow.
Naked as children,
Wild as can be.
Soon to have offspring.
Start it all over.
Start it all over.
American boy, American girl.
Most beautiful people in the world.
Son of frontier Indian Swirl.
Dancing through the midnight whirlpool
Formless, hope it can
Continue a little while
Come on

10   Indian Summer (02:35)

11   Maggie M'Gill (04:23)

Doors polyphonic ringtones
Doors sheet music
Concert tickets

Miss Maggie M'Gill, she lived on a hill
Her daddy got drunk and left her the will
So she went down, down to Tangie Town
People down there really like to get it on

Now if you're sad and you're feeling blue
Go out and buy a brand new pair of shoes
And you go down, down to Tangie Town
'Cause people down there really like to get it on
Get it on

Illegitimate son of a Rock n' Roll star
Illegitimate son of a Rock n' Roll star
Mom met dad in the back of a Rock n' Roll car

Well, I'm an old blues man and I think that you understand
I've been singing the blues ever since the world began

Maggie, Maggie, Maggie M'Gill
Roll on, roll on, Maggie M'Gill
