I Prodigy festeggiano i 20 anni di carriera con questo bellissimo live CD/DVD o CD/Blueray e si riconfermano nella scena dance mondiale nonostante i successi e le polemiche, nonostante non si siano reinventati più di tanto col passare del tempo. Sono sempre loro e piacciono cosi, per tutti coloro che amano la Big Beat e la Techno vecchia scuola. Dopo il successo di "Invaders Must Die" danno una scossa alla loro striminzita produzione, malgrado gli anni sulla scena musicale con questo bellissimo live uscito nel 2011. Arrivato nei negozi come una sorpresa è il primo dopo tutto ed è strano che ancora non se ne sentiva la mancanza visto che sono degli animali da palco dal vivo.
"World's On Fire" pur non essendo arricchito da tutti i loro successi, rimane ugualmente un buonissimo prodotto che punta più sul divertimento scenico e sonoro che offre la band. Infatti è da consigliare non solo ai fan ma anche per chi non li conosce abbastanza bene dal vivo.
Il CD e il DVD comprende la serata al Milton Keynes Bowl dove i Prodigy recitano in casa e la loro folla incita la festa estrema che rende omaggio ai messaggeri della Rave-Party made in England. I pezzi sono 17 e non mi sorprende che non ce ne sia uno dal quarto e brutto album "Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned", infatti tutto è perfetto e scivola giù come l'olio anche con le nuove "Omen", "Invaders Must Die", "Thunder" e "Warrior's Dance". Inutile dirvi delle immancabili "Firestarter", "Breathe", "Smack My Bitch Up" e "Their Law" ma mi sarei aspettato di più con la loro vecchia produzione che tra l'altro è anche la più bella. Con i primi 2 album su tutti.
Comunque la vera sorpresa rimane la revisitazione di "Weather Experience" che con il suo lascia passare ipnotico ricorda quelle belle sensazione dell'album "Experience". Una performance accurata per dettaglio e un punto d'obbligo per rivedere e risentire la scena musicale dance targata anni 90, ormai persa ma non dimenticata, che ha fatto sognare molti di noi. Il Disco rimane sempre una botta al fegato perchè vi farà divertire e ballare, Howlett e soci sono sempre una garanzia anche se gli hanno passano anche per loro. Chissà se hanno detto addio alle droghe oggi come oggi, di certo le facce che fà Maxim in questo film vi faranno faranno fare due risate.
E ora? Ora non ci rimane che omaggiarli, ma di sicuro anche spronarli perchè è ora che inizi un nuovo ciclo per loro. Hanno bisogno di un pizzico di innovazione in più, con un nuovo decennio ormai partito per nuovi orizzonti. Un album diverso da "Invaders Must Die"?
