The Vaselines sono un duo indie pop scozzese formato a Glasgow nel 1986 da Eugene Kelly e Frances McKee. Pubblicano gli EP Son of a Gun (1987) e Dying for It (1988) e l’album Dum-Dum (1989), poi si sciolgono. I Nirvana incidono tre loro cover, rilanciandone il culto. Tornano con nuovi dischi nel 2010 (Sex with an X) e 2014 (V for Vaselines).
