Ahhh, John Garcia. Che dire di lui, del suo magico passato (Kyuss), della sua inconfondibile voce: Lui direbbe Unida, il suo nuovo progetto nel presente ! 8 pezzi di onesto e squisito stoner rock, eccellente produzione della Man's Ruin e la rinascita della grande voce dei Kyuss . Complessivamente il sound degli Unida è molto heavy, ognitanto un pò troppo pesante e ripetitivo, specie nei primi pezzi, ma "Black Woman", "If Only Two", "Nervous" e "Dwarf It" - ovvero il finale dell'album - reggono bene il confronto con icone stoner rock come i QOTSA, Nebula e Fu Manchu. Purtroppo non troverete le atmosfere psicadeliche che tanto ci ha fatto amare J.Homme nei Kyuss, ma tutto sommato sono un buon acquisto da consigliare ai nostalgici e comunque agli amanti del genere. djd
