Una domanda è d'obbligo chi diavolo sono gli Age Of Silence? E la risposta ancora più d'obbligo è: sono il 32423423 side project d Jan Axel Blomberg, o come dir si voglia, Hellhammer che nel 2004 fra un album e l'altro ha pure registrato, con l'ausilio di componenti da Band quali i Winds, e i Solefad, questo cd in cui metal d'avanguardia e progressive s'intrecciano.
Musicalmente vede dei riff di chitarra pesanti messi però spesso in secondo piano dalla testiera di Andy Winter e dalla batteria di Hellhammer che spruzza controtempi e altre delizie dietro alle pelli con molta facilità... Tastiere e batterie sono il punto di forza di qeust'album e della band, anche perchè nel mixaggio sono a volume ben più alto delle chitarre e del basso che come al solito non si sente manco per scherzo.
Mentre questo discorso vale per nove tracce,non vale per una traccia "I No Longer Know If I Am Mad" perchè è una canzone acustica con solo chitarra e pianoforte in cui al posto di Lars Are "Lazare" Nedland (di cui ci occuperemo in seguito) canta il chitarrista Kobbergaard con voce distorta, è anche la più breve del CD (2:28).
Ecco il vero punto debole del gruppo:la voce, a me non piace per nulla... sarebbe stato un CD nettamente Migliore con un cantante diverso, ma non tutti i gruppi posso avere Garm o ICS Vortex.
Comunque buona prima per gli AOS.. continuate così.....ma con un cantante diverso...

Il prodotto si muove su linee in bilico tra progressive metal e musica classica, creando un "pastiche" musicale che, pur non risultando particolarmente originale, si lascia ascoltare.
Il risultato finale resta, alla fine dei conti, comunque sufficiente, sebbene il disco non sia un capolavoro.
