Ho visto che c'è già la recensione di questo cd ma volevo farla un po' meglio.... non fucilatemi
Gli Agoraphobic Nosebleed sono una band cybergrind (grindcore con le drum machine e i campionamenti) , per chi non conosce questo, è simile al grind, anche se molto più splatter e claustrofobico che nasce nel Massachussets nel 1994, ha cmabitato molte volte formazione, l'unico membro stabile è Scott Hull, chitarrista anche nel gruppo brutal death/grind dei Pig Destroyer. In questo cd ci sono 100 canzoni in circa 20 minuti ,la caratteristica di questo cd è che è molto distruttivo, si passa da momenti con sfuriate e riff di chitarra, fino a momenti da pazzia pura dove si arriva ai limiti della cacofonia. La cosa divertente di questo cd oltre che ad essere una cosa pazzesca, si parla apertamente di droga in tutti i sensi (mescalina,LSD ecc..), sesso (Sodoma, omossessuali ecc...) e anche a riferimenti alla setta giapponese degli Aum Shinrikyo con non velati riferimenti all'atttentato terroristico alla metropolitana di Tokyo del 20 marzo 1995 (Tokyo Subway Gassing), alla religione (Star of David, Latter Day Mormon Ritual) e ancheriferimenti ad Arancia Meccanica di Stanley Kubrick (Osaka Milk Bar), all'ONU e addirittura contro il Black Metal (Black Metal Tranvestite), e naturalmente alla politica degli Stati Uniti (Relapse Refusing U.N. Weapons Inspectors e anche il titolo stesso del cd ALTRERED STATES OF AMERICA) e riferimenti a Guerre Stellari (Obi Wan Kaczynski) anche agli Anthrax (Spreading the Dis-Ease) e alla favola di Alice nel Paese delle Meraviglie (!) questo cd quindi si può considerare una divertente e claustrofobica critica alla società in tutte le sue sfacettature,che piaccia o non piaccia.
