Inizio memorabile per un cd memorabile. Anche se senza troppe pretese, i fratelli O'Keeffe sfornano un album che può inaugurare una nuova primavera del rock e del metal. Nonostante si noti notevolmente l'ispirazione data dai connazionali AC/DC, gli Airbourne hanno un sound inconfondibile, tutto loro.
La prima traccia è la sopracitata Stand up for rock 'n' roll, piccolo masterpiece che ben rappresenta la direzione di tutto l'album.
Seguono i due singoli, la titletrack e Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast, sui quali nulla si può dire se non che sono fantastici. La ruvida voce di Joel è divina e i cori dei ritornelli e gli assoli, non troppo pretenziosi ma ben fatti, funzionano benissimo.
Anche Diamond In The Rough, con un ritornello che entra subito in testa tiene testa alle tracce precedenti, mentre la seguente Fat City non spicca per brillantezza.
La veloce Blackjack, la seguente What's Eatin You (molto stile AC/DC), Girls In Black e Cheap Wine & Cheaper Women seguono tutte lo schema delle tracce precedenti, rimanendo sulla stessa lunghezza d'onda.
Arriviamo quindi a Heartbreaker, uno dei punti più alti dell'album, bellissima!
Chiude il sipario del nostro rock party Hellfire, veloce e cattiva.
Finisce quindi l'album che segna il ritorno del Rock n'roll grazie ad un gruppo che assieme ai Black Tide promette molto. Spero continuino così
