James sono una band inglese formata a Manchester nel 1982 e guidata da Tim Booth. Dopo gli inizi vicini alla scena Madchester, hanno raggiunto il successo con dischi come Gold Mother, Seven e Laid, collaborando anche con Brian Eno. Dopo una pausa tra il 2001 e il 2007 sono tornati in attività, pubblicando nuovi album fino agli anni 2010.
