Jesse McCartney è uno dei più straordinari artisti esordienti nel panorama mondiale.
Il disco “Beautiful Soul” è un capolavoro che non smentisce il talento immenso dell’artista. La traccia “Beautiful soul” è diventata in pochissimo tempo una hit per il suo ritmo molto r&B dove la voce di Jesse e a dir poco perfetta nonostante la giovanissima età.
L’altra hit “Because you live” è una canzone più rock ed è degna del precedente singolo, dove Jesse mostra un timbro vocale delineatamene grintoso. Non mancano splendide ballate “Take your sweet time” e “Why Don't You Kiss Her ?" dove Jesse mostra le sue straordinarie doti vocali con un falsetto da brividi e da far invidia a molti artisti che fanno dischi da molto più tempo di lui.
Questi due pezzi sono di livello assoluto per voce, testo, arrangiamento e melodia. C’è molta elettronica in “That was then” e impossibile non apprezzare il motown di “Why is love so hard to find”. Splendida la melodia di “She’s no you.." In più impossibile non riscontrare delle influenze del miglior Michael Jackson in “Get your shine on”.
Da precisare che Jesse è co-autore di quattro delle canzoni presenti. Insomma un vero artista a tutto-tondo con un disco che con piacere si ascolta e con ancor più piacere si riascolta. In “Beautiful soul” che può definirsi un album-gioiello c’è un po’ di tutto dal pop più tradizionale alla dance per arrivare all’elettro-pop, con un po’ di sano rock a fare da genere dominante. Jesse è un artista che è in continua evoluzione e questo disco è solo l’inizio di una lunga e brillante carriera musicale che lo farà affermare tra i più grandi artisti della storia.
Se il buongiorno si vede dal mattino… … this is music! Capolavoro.

Questo suo primo album solista dà prova delle sue grandi potenzialità vocali, dipingendo un artista completo.
