I Kiss. Questo gruppo è molto amato ma c'è gente che lo odia. Tenetevi le vostre idee, ma a me piacciono un casino (altrimenti perchè dovrei fare la recensione di 'sto disco?), quindi ho deciso di fare la certamente non facile recensione di "Creatures Of The Night". Con questo disco i 4 del "Bacio" cercavano di arrivare a tonalità più dure, dopo l'uscita di "Dinasty", contenente la pluriconosciuta "I Was Made For Lovin' You" e poi "Unmasked", quindi questo è probabilmente il disco più duro dei Kiss. Dopo lo scarso successo di "Unmasked" i Kiss cacciarono Peter Criss per far entrare Eric Carr, con cui incisero "Music From The Elder" e poi questo bellissimo disco.
Si parte con la Title-Track, e già da questo pezzo si capisce che il suono si è fatto più duro. Il pezzo è otimo ed ha un ritornello molto accattivante, inoltre nella parte finale viene suonato un piccolo assolo molto carino. Si passa così al secondo pezzo: la bellissima "Saint And Sinner". Questo pezzo è duro, sopratutto nel ritornello dove Gene Simmons ripete: "You're a Saint, I'm a Sinner", e alla fine della canzone viene eseguito da Ace Frehley un assolo che sembra lentamente svanire nell'aria. Il terzo brano, "Keep Me Comin'", è meno dura e più melodica dei pezzi che la precedono, ed è uno spettacolo sentire il coretto che accompagna Paul Stanley nel ritornello. "Rock And Roll Hell" è stato scritto assieme a Bryan Adams, però per questo non dovete assolutamente pensare che i Kiss si adagino allo stile di Adams, anzi, è il perfetto contrario: Questo è uno dei pezzi più duri del disco e il basso di Simmons crea, assieme alla grancassa di Carr un intro durissimo. Subito dopo parte "Danger" e Stanley torna a cantare, per un pezzo comunque duro, e nel ritornello ricorda un poco "I Surrender" dei mitici Rainbow. "I Love It Loud" non ha bisogno di presentazioni: si parte con la batteria e poi partono i mitici cori da stadio, per uno dei pezzi migliori e più duri dei Kiss, a cui simmons contribuisce con un cantato pesante e cattivo. Ora si sente un arpeggio di chitarra, ottimo intro per "I Still Love You", tragica cronaca di un amore finito. Si Prosegue con "Killers", canzone durissima, che parla di una donna-assassina, e che è uno degli episodi migliori di questo disco. Arriviamo così all'ultima canzone, sinceramente la mia preferita insieme a "I Love It Loud", "War Machine". Questo è il pezzo più duro del disco, e anche questo è stato scritto con Brian Adams. un Riff di chitarra distorta ci porta in questo pezzo, dove non può non essere citata la grancassa di Carr, che ricorda un cannone.
Insomma, questo disco è da avere ASSOLUTAMENTE!!!

La title track ... è una dichiarazione d'intenti: batteria pompatissima e riffoni metallici a creare un suono mai così potente in casa Kiss.
"I Still Love You", ballad definitiva per i Kiss e una delle loro migliori canzoni di sempre.
