 Il vero fiore all’occhiello dell’intero album resta a mio parere "Catamaran": un Garcia mai così dolce ed una chitarra magica dipingono un quadro dalle tinte azzurre e ocra.

Kyuss è una band statunitense nata nella scena di Palm Desert (California). Attivi tra il 1987 e il 1995, sono tra i pionieri dello stoner/desert rock, celebri per i suoni iper-saturi e l’immaginario desertico. Album chiave includono Blues for the Red Sun e Welcome to Sky Valley. Dopo lo scioglimento, i membri hanno proseguito in progetti come Queens of the Stone Age, Hermano e altri.
