Level 42 sono una band inglese nata nel 1979 sull’Isola di Wight, nota per il mix di jazz‑funk e pop e per lo slap di Mark King. Hanno raggiunto il successo internazionale a metà anni ’80 con singoli come Something About You e Lessons in Love. Il nome deriva dal numero 42 della Guida galattica per autostoppisti di Douglas Adams.
