In questo doppio cd della band britannica c'è tutta l'essenza del rock espresso da Matt Bellamy e soci.
Il primo cd raccoglie delle b-sides rarissime registrate tra il 1999 e il 2001, mentre il secondo album contiene tutta l'esplosività live del trio inglese con 51 minuti di rock 'n' roll durissimo e avvolgente.
Sicuramente nella raccolta di b-sides non c'è nulla di nuovissimo ma ci sono alcuni brani degni di nota, come "Shine Acoustic", brano semi-acustico di grande effetto e "Recess", caratterizzata da un basso molto semplice ma incisivo.
"Forced In", opening track, è una ballata strumentale altamente psichedelica di 4'20", con l'intromissione di tanto in tanto del falsetto di Matt. "Yes Please" e "Ashamed" sono i classici pezzi tirati "alla Muse", che ci riportano più al sound di "Origin Of Symmetry" che a quello di "Showbiz".
Nel cd2 invece 11 brani live registrati il 28 e 29 ottobre 2001 a Parigi. Brani estratti prevalentemente dal loro ultimo lavoro, "Origin of Symmetry".
Il brano meglio riuscito sicuramente è "Showbiz", ma anche episodi come "Muscle Museum", "Dark Shines", "Citizen Erased" e l'inedita "Dead Star" danno un'ottima impressione eseguite dal vivo.
Un cd che di sicuro farà piacere a tutti i fan della band di Matt grazie alla presenza di 10 tracce inedite (reperibili solo su internet) e 11 pezzi live che stanno a dimostrare quanto una band, solo al secondo album, possa coinvolgere dal vivo in una maniera impressionante. Bravissimi.
