Per la mia ultima e definitiva Recensione sul qvesto agreste suolo ho deciso di affrontare a testa alta e senza rèmore un tema ostico quanto urgente: perché a novembre inoltrato nelle spinute pale ci sono ancora i fichi d'India?
Ah, no.. ho sbagliato sito!
A Voi, lì, volevo parlarVi di un'altra irta fazenda.
Le operazioni di raschio-del-fondo-del-consunto-barile per fini miserabilmente speculativi sono una tra le cose più abominevoli a cui l'arte in generale, e quindi per inclusione la musica, possa venir sottomessa.
E' anche vero che talvolta ci possono essere sono delle rare quanto sparute eccezioni.
Calma e gesso: non è questo il caso.
Il manufatto in questione, incluso in non so bene quale cofanetto natalizio/pasquale/trentennale risulta a tutti gli effetti un malcelato tentativo di raschio di fondo barileo, con una lieve ma sostanziale differenza: il barile in questo preciso caso è qualitativamente se non proprio ricolmo fino all'orlo, ancora dignitosamente pieno.
Una cosa è certa: sapere ché l'ultimo disco "consapevole" da loro pubblicato è quella cloaca minima dell'Unplugged Mtv è una questione che mi procura (moderata) noia.
Perché quel anemico teatrino, mortifero, asettico, emaciato, tossico ma anche asburgico non era altro che la rappresentazione plastica della fine annunciata che non avrebbe tardato troppo ad arrivare.
Per sfortuna loro e anche un po' nostra.
E' vero che col senno di poi siam tutti bravi.
Ma quel clima da obitorio tirato a lustro col Topexan è quanto di più lontano possa esserci da ciò che realmente sono stati musicalmente questi trè scapestrati.
Perché quelli comodamente adagiati negli sgabelli, con ceri e candele a far da corollario, non sono non erano e non saranno mai i Nirvana. Era la rappresentazione della bramosia famelica della loro etichetta unita alla loro scarsa lucidità artistica, sfruttata e vilipesa fino alla peggiore delle conseguenze.
Questa cosa non la dico io che non sono nessuno: ma può dirla, a chi avrà la pazienza di ascoltarlo, efficacemente l'ascolto di questo ottimo e abbondante documento d'archivio che li ritrae on stage giusto qualche anno prima.
Non discuto che l'Unplugged possa anche piacere per i motivi più disparati e qua non si tratta nemmeno di voler parlar "male" di chi non c'è più o accanirsi fuori tempo massimo con un disco/dvd che ha venduto cento migliardi di copie.
Però lo trovo sia necessario che giusto: e solo per rendere loro il giusto mèrito.
Soprattutto per chi è incartapecorito più o meno come il sottoscritto e che magari ha avuto la fortuna di incrociare le loro risolute traiettorie soniche ergo apprezzarli a partire da quel nervoso 45 giri d'esordio che venne pubblicato nel 1988 in semi-clandestinità, come tanti dell'epoca, tramite la semi-sconosciuta Subpop.
Questo concerto risale al 1991; è stato appena pubblicato quello che diverrà nel breve volgere di qualche mese uno dei dischi spartiacque più importanti - non tanto o solo per la qualità dei pezzi, ma proprio per la funzione che volontariamente o meno ha esercitato - degli anni novanta e a seguire.
In questo davvero intenso e banalmente bel concerto il trio regala svariate versioni urgentissime di pezzi estratti dal disco all'epoca appena uscito, dal lavoro d'esordio "Bleach" e dall'EP ancora precedente "Blew".
Ciliegiona sulla torta: la qualità di registrazione è una meraviglia e sfiora decisamente l'eccellenza.
Il materiale più datato e spigoloso, forse perché maggiormente rodato on stage o forse in virtù del fatto chè si tratta del loro disco che io prediligo, è quello che mi regala maggiori e più intense soddisfazioni:
la cover perfetta di "Love Buzz", la ultra-paranoica "Blew", la tumultuosa "Negative Creep", il monolite assoluto "School" e il ballabile dalla Romagna che corrisponde al titolo di "Floyd The Barber", sono solo alcune tra le luminossisime saette che hanno increspato il plumbeo cielo della serata e quelle che a parer mio rappresentano al meglio ciò che erano, sono e saranno sempre questi trè indimenticati, smandrappati, buzzurri del millennio scorso.
In sintesi: son qvesti i Nirvana givsti!
