Attivi dal 1984, hanno attraversato ogni sottogenere dall’estremo thrash/death primitive e rabbioso, all’incrocio tribale, sperimentale e groove degli anni Novanta, affermandosi con album fondamentali come 'Arise', 'Chaos A.D.' e 'Roots'. Dopo l’uscita di Max e Igor Cavalera, la band ha continuato una carriera travagliata ma mai doma.
