Possessed sono una band statunitense della San Francisco Bay Area, tra i pionieri del death metal. Guidati da Jeff Becerra, hanno esordito con Seven Churches (1985), proseguito con Beyond the Gates (1986) e l’EP The Eyes of Horror (1987). Dopo lo scioglimento di fine anni ’80, sono tornati sulle scene stabilmente dal 2007, pubblicando Revelations of Oblivion (2019).
