Refused sono una band hardcore punk di Umeå (Svezia), formata nel 1991. Dopo due album feroci, nel 1998 pubblicano The Shape of Punk to Come, che fonde hardcore, elettronica e suggestioni jazz. Si sciolgono nello stesso anno durante un tour negli USA, tornano nel 2012 e pubblicano Freedom (2015) e War Music (2019).
