Eccoci davanti all'ennesimo esperimento "Beatles + XYZ" che tira sempre e che fa ringazzulire le vendite, foss'anche per pochi giorni, ai cantanti e/o gruppi che si cimentano nell'impresa. Ecco dunque questa misconosciuta Rita Lee, brasiliana DOC con 4/5 lavori all'attivo, cimentarsi con la produzione Lennon/McCartney ma riarrangiando il tutto su sonorità samba o tipicamente bossanoviane. Esperimento abbastanza insulso e piattino che non apporta (né toglie niente) a brani immortali come "A Hard Day's Night", "With a Little Help From My Friends" o "Michelle". Tutto molto soft e vagamente lounge, da localino trendajolo der Testaccio, dove i brani scorrono via dolci e melensi come caramello, tutto ben curatino, tenero tenero, con arrangiamenti a dir poco tradizionali.
Per carità, niente di scandaloso, anzi, ma niente da far venir la voglia di "ascoltare" più approfonditamente brani che si conoscono non dico a memoria ma... di più. Una classica operazione che puzza di commerciale già dalla copertina (metà brasiliana, metà con la cantante che telefona da una cabina telefonica inglese!!). Disco coccoloso, tenerone, da sottofondo per star davanti al caminetto con il/la propria partner, dolci e zuccherosi come orsetti Winny Pooh. In fondo, a volte alla musica non si deve chiedere molto di più, no?
PS: Alla larga agli amanti dei Beatles, a chi vuole ascoltare buona musica e soprattutto... gli scopatori selvaggi!
