I Saxon sono una band heavy metal di Barnsley (South Yorkshire, Inghilterra), formatasi nel 1977 e tra i protagonisti della New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Con album come Wheels of Steel, Strong Arm of the Law e Denim & Leather hanno fissato i canoni del metal britannico. Dopo una parentesi più AOR a metà anni ’80, sono tornati a sonorità più dure dagli anni ’90 in poi, rimanendo costantemente attivi dal vivo e in studio.
