Silverchair sono una rock band australiana formata a Newcastle nel 1992 da Daniel Johns (voce/chitarra), Ben Gillies (batteria) e Chris Joannou (basso). Sono emersi a metà anni ’90 con il singolo Tomorrow e l’album di debutto Frogstomp, poi hanno ampliato il loro sound con orchestrazioni in Neon Ballroom e Diorama. La band è in pausa a tempo indeterminato dal 2011.
