Nove anni dopo "Suede" esce questa nuova creazione di Brett Anderson e soci. David Bowie rimane il loro grande amore, non c'è che dire (vd. "Astrogirl") anche se i suoni si fanno un pò più incisivi e a tratti ricordano gli Shed Seven o le cose più tirate degli Smiths (!). Come recita il testo ed il titolo della canzone d'esordio del disco, hanno cercato di infondere molta positività nelle tracce del cd, a partire dalla voce rassicurante e più matura di Anderson, dismessi ormai i panni dell'androgino. Da non perdere "One Hit To The Body", le cui parole sono usate in modo talmente sottile da ferirsi nel toccarle:
"there’s a million constellations
up in the make believe sky
and a million dead end situations
you could leave behind"
Un invito a guardare avanti e non indietro. A pensare ad una nuova mattina, non alla notte scorsa. A vedere il sole sorgere senza pensare al tramonto di ieri.
