I francesi Tahiti 80 riassumono nel loro nome quello che vorrebbero essere, esotici ed un pò retrò. Dalla terra transalpina che ha creato Daft Punk ed Air non ci si aspettava certo questo genere di musica, e questo è un merito di originalità che va assegnato alla band, limitata quindi solo alla provvenienza geografica. Per tutto il resto posso aggiungere che si ascoltano volentieri ma è tutto lì. Meglio allora gli svedesi Cardigans che almeno avevano più estro (grande anche nelle covers, specie quella di Ironman) ed addirittura inarrivabili i Pulp di Jarvis Cocker l'uomo dal nome del c****, che hanno creato un genere dal passato, meglio di quanto abbiamo fatto gli oasis. In un momento in cui il vintage sembra aver preso piede con mai prima, questo disco senza tempo non ha l'originalità necessaria a farlo emergere. E' senza tempo e basta. E come unico merito è un pò pochino.
