The B-52s

Gruppo new wave statunitense nato ad Athens (Georgia) nel 1976. Formazione storica: Fred Schneider, Kate Pierson, Cindy Wilson, Ricky Wilson e Keith Strickland. Esordio fulminante nel 1979, successi internazionali con Love Shack e Roam. La morte di Ricky Wilson nel 1985 ha segnato la loro storia; Strickland passò poi dalla batteria alla chitarra. Nel 2008 il nome è tornato senza apostrofo con Funplex.
