Ma andassero affanculo questi tre stronzetti di Cincinnati! Chi credono di essere? Forse perché sono i protetti di Jack White e Brendan Benson e suonano con loro nei Raconteurs?
Un Greatest Hits dopo appena un paio di album e qualche ep!!!
Sul loro sito scrivono: "Like their predecessors The Kinks, the Byrds and the Yardbirds, the Greenhornes songs range from classic psychedelic sounds and soulful melodies to timeless rock anthems... Ma quale originale e quale rispetto del cazzo ?!? "Love in the sun " è spudoratamente Byrds, "Pattern Skills" e "Shadow of the grief" sono veri e propri furti agli Yardbirds, "It's no real" ha lo stesso riff di "Touch" degli olandesi Outsiders del grande Wally Tax, "The End of the night" e "It Returns" sono scippate ai Kinks, "Lies" è puro garage con l'organo come lo suona Jeff Monomann Connolly nei Lyres, l'intro del basso di "Shelter of your arms" è copiato pari pari da quello di "Codine" sul primo dei Litter, "Stay Away" ti fa venire un colpo perché è la canzone che manca su un disco dei Doors, per "Goodtimes" si dovranno aspettare una visitina da parte di Rudi Protrudi che gli farà il mazzo così per aver plagiato i suoi Fuzztones, i tre accordi di "Satisfy my mind" li hanno fregati ai Rolling Stones... devo continuare?
Nel bel documentario di Martin Scorsese, No Direction Home, ad un certo punto Bob Dylan dice: "Il tempo...si possono fare tante cose che sembrano fermare il tempo ma, ovviamente, è impossibile farlo davvero".
E' tutto vero e nemmeno i Greenhornes ci riescono, ma allora ma perché questo disco da più di un anno non smette di girare nel mio stereo?
