Band scozzese fondata nel 1983 dai fratelli Jim e William Reid a East Kilbride. Ha definito il noise pop/shoegaze unendo melodie sixties a feedback feroci: Psychocandy (1985) e Darklands (1987) sono pietre miliari. Sciolti nel 1999, riformati nel 2007; album di ritorno Damage and Joy (2017).
