The Kinks sono un gruppo rock inglese nato a Muswell Hill (Londra) nel 1963, guidato dai fratelli Ray e Dave Davies con Pete Quaife e Mick Avory. Dalla British Invasion ai concept album, hanno lasciato classici come You Really Got Me, Waterloo Sunset e Lola, influenzando generazioni dal garage/hard rock al britpop. Si sono sciolti nel 1996.
