The Pogues sono un gruppo celtic/folk punk formatosi a Londra nel 1982, guidato da Shane MacGowan insieme a Spider Stacy e Jem Finer. Hanno fuso la tradizione irlandese con l’energia punk, firmando brani iconici come Fairytale of New York (con Kirsty MacColl) e album classici quali Rum Sodomy and the Lash e If I Should Fall From Grace With God.
