OK, so bene che sono già state pubblicate altre 2 derecensioni sull'album in questione, ma ho voluto in ogni caso omaggiare i The Prodigy: grazie a loro sono entrato in contatto con la cultura rave e con l'elettronica in generale.
Bene, si può annunciare con certezza che i The Prodigy siano tornati alla grande dopo il flop "Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned": lo si percepisce dall'omonima canzone. Big beat ossessivo, riff trascinante e poi la presentazione della band ("We're The Prodigy"), come se non fossero conosciuti. Certo, non è un una cosa inusuale per il ritorno di una band ( in fin dei conti, lo avevano fatto anche i Rage Against The Machine durante un concerto del 2007 per la reunion), però fa sempre effetto. Segue "Omen", la canzone più ballabile del disco insieme a "Colours": entrambe non sfigurerebbero in una discoteca.
Per quanto riguarda le altre canzoni, diciamolo subito: non ne ho trovato una brutta. Dall'inno rave di "Thunder" ai richiami a "No Good" di "Warrior's Dance", dalla rock oriented "Piranha" alla violenta "World's On Fire". Senza dimenticare "Take Me To The Hospital", il cui sound ricorda molto "Experience", e "Stand Up", molto happy, che fa uscire i The Prodigy in maniera trionfale dal party.
Grandi collaborazioni sono presenti su questo disco: la più importante è sicuramente Dave Grohl alla batteria su "Run With The Wolves" e "Stand Up". Inoltre la band sfoggia un nuovo logo, una copertina veramente bella e un libretto non molto grande, ma esaustivo.
E allora, perchè solo 4 stelle? Perchè i The Prodigy non hanno inventato nulla di nuovo, ma hanno solo ripreso le idee dei primi due album.
Però, parliamoci chiaro: NONOSTANTE NON SIA ORIGINALE, "INVADERS MUST DIE" SPACCA!!!!
Consigliato sopratutto per le feste con un sacco di gente e con molta voglia di scatenarsi.

Il prodigio è tornato per rompervi i timpani e farvi muovere quei fottuti culi per un bel periodo.
Un disco decisamente godibile, forse non un capolavoro ma con i suoni che li hanno consacrati come imperatori dell’elettronica violenta.
