Ciao a tutti. Voglio fare una premessa: mi sono iscritto da poco ma ho letto molte recensioni e questa è la prima che scrivo. Essendo la prima ho voluto recensire uno dei miei album preferiti di uno dei miei gruppi preferiti.
Sto parlando degli U2 ed il disco in questione è un live dal titolo "Under a blood red sky" uscito nel 1983. Il disco inizia con un attacco di batteria e il grande frontman Bono Vox che dice "This is gloria", 4.43 minuti di energia e und riff di chitarra bellissimo. La seconda canzone "11 o'clock tick tock" un po più rilassante della prima e con un grande Bono che poteva permettersi di cantare alcune frasi in falsetto. Infatti proprio lui ha dichiarato di recente di non riuscire più a cantare in quel modo per colpa del tabacco. La terza canzone "I will follow" torna sui ritmi di gloria così come la quarta "Party girl" dove Bono duetta con gli spettatori. La quinta canzone è la strafamosa "Sunday bloody sunday" uno dei più grandi inni rock di sempre, la canzone inizia con un discorso di Bono e poi The Edge, il chitarrista per chi non lo sapesse, attacca con un inconfondibile riff, un altra nota degna è per il batterista, secondo me fortissimo, Larry Mullen Jr che dall'inizio alla fine suona sempre al massimo. La sesta canzone "The electric co" rimane sempre sui ritmi di gloria & co, mentre per la settima "New year's day" The Edge si mette al piano e tutta la canzone è costruita intorno a quel giro di note.
Da notare infatti che gli U2 sono uno di quei pochi gruppi che nei concerti non hai mai suonato con musicisti aggiunti ma sono rimasti sempre loro quattro, Bono, The Edge, Larry Mullen Jr e Adam Clayton.
Il disco si chiude con "40" prima canzone veramente lenta del disco, e la più emozionante finendo in calare e la gente che per circa un minuto canta il ritornello con la musica di base. 40 minuti circa di energia, melodia ed infine una delle cose più belle, emozione, se siete fan del mitico gruppo di Dublino e non lo avete ancora ascoltato vi invito a farlo.
