Argent è una band rock britannica fondata dal tastierista Rod Argent dopo gli Zombies. Attiva tra il 1969 e il 1976, ha mescolato progressive, hard e pop, firmando brani celebri come Hold Your Head Up e God Gave Rock and Roll to You. La convivenza tra la vena prog di Rod Argent e quella melodico-rock di Russ Ballard ha definito il loro sound; Ballard ha lasciato nel 1974. Tra i dischi più rilevanti: All Together Now, In Deep ed il doppio live Encore.
