Gruppo britannico fondato a Birmingham nel 1978 da Kevin Rowland e Kevin ‘Al’ Archer. Mischiano soul stile Stax/Motown, folk e new wave in una formula battezzata ‘Celtic soul’. Hanno raggiunto il successo con Geno e soprattutto con Come On Eileen (1982), pubblicando tre album classici a nome Dexys Midnight Runners.
