Roberta Joan "Joni" Mitchell (nata 1943) è una cantautrice canadese, nota anche come pittrice. Divenuta celebre negli anni '60 e '70, ha attraversato fasi dal folk acustico al jazz-fusion collaborando con musicisti come Jaco Pastorius, Wayne Shorter e Herbie Hancock. Tra i suoi album più discussi e celebrati: Blue, Hejira, Court and Spark e Mingus.
