 Questo è un cd di ciò che si usa chiamare Viking metal, incorporando radici black (pochissime) e tantissime influenze folk/epic.

 Avevo l’intenzione di sputare un po’ di odio generale in questa recensione (alla fine mi sono reso conto di averlo fatto lo stesso), soprattutto verso quelli che non ascoltano metal.

Ensiferum è una band folk/viking metal finlandese formata a Helsinki nel 1995 dal chitarrista Markus Toivonen. Unisce melodie folk e cori epici a strutture melodic death/power, con liriche ispirate a miti e battaglie. Dopo Jari Mäenpää agli esordi, dal 2004 la voce/chitarra è di Petri Lindroos.
