 Lei la sua splendida voce da troia d’argento.

 La sua voce è nebbia di sangue, e gli archi alla Nino Rota di lui fuoco maschio.

La recensione dipinge "Felt Mountain" come un album carico di passione, creato da una coppia di musicisti intensamente legati. L’opera mescola atmosfere noir e trip elettronico, con influenze jazz e ambient, e una forte componente emotiva nella voce di Alison.  Un disco bello e incantevole, con recupero di certe sonorità 60’ies, aperture orchestrali alla Morricone e passaggi naif di felliniana memoria.

 Vorrei soffermarmi sull’intro lisergica/morriconiana di "Lovely Head", praticamente perfetto: 20 secondi che marchiano profondamente l’intero album.

Felt Mountain è un esordio di grande impatto per Goldfrapp, caratterizzato da atmosfere sognanti e arrangiamenti raffinati ispirati agli anni '60. Il disco si distingue per la sua capacità evocativa e rimane un punto fermo nella discografia personale del recensore. L'intro di 'Lovely Head' viene evidenziata come perfetta e rappresentativa. Pur amando questo stile, l'autore mostra apertura verso l'evoluzione artistica futura del duo, consigliando l'ascolto a chi apprezza pop/rock di classe. Ascolta subito Felt Mountain e lasciati trasportare dalle sue atmosfere uniche!

Per me rimane il 'discone' dei Golpfrapp, un lavoro immenso che ha bisogno di ascolti ripetuti e concentrati sugli scenari creati: assurdi, cinematografici e di stile che questo progetto riesce a trasmettere.

    Come Tia...l'unico che mi piacque della Alison. Come cantante la adoro comunque. Oh, da brividi la sua performance vocale poi su 'Pumpkin' di Tricky, da "Maxinquaye"...
