Ed eccomi qua, di nuovo a recensire il grande madman (o il principe delle tenebre se preferite, o più semplicemente Ozzy).
Siamo al suo terzo album da solista, purtroppo per lui non sulla scia dei precedenti.
"Bark At The Moon" vede alla chitarra Jake E.Lee, un validissimo chitarrista, anche molto flessibile, bravo tecnicamente, ma i dischi prodotti insieme a lui sono stati veramente scarsi, e per fortuna soltanto due, questo e il successivo "The Ultimate Sin".
Solo due canzoni sono degne di nota in quest'album, "Rock 'N' Roll Rebel" e la title track "Bark At The Moon", che hanno dei bei riff trascinanti e anche (nel caso della seconda) un solo niente male.
"Bark At The Moon" è tra l'altro anche una delle migliori canzoni di Ozzy in assoluto.
Lo so, è strano che su un album che non è stato un successo ci trovi un pezzo così, ma che ci vuoi fare... così e la musica, e poi voglio dire, negativo al 100% non poteva essere.
Disco poco vitale e poco slanciato, non all'altezza di Ozzy, che come sappiamo era stato in grado di fare ben altro.
Non so che altro aggiungere, se non che c'è anche una orecchiabile ballad (anche un po' tetra a dire il vero) "You're No Different", e basta! Il resto è tutto appena sulla sufficienza se non al di sotto.
Voto 2, giusto perché si tratta di lui e perché mi piacciono le suddette canzoni.
Da possedere solo se siete fan di Ozzy, ma giusto per completare la discografia.

Bark At The Moon è probabilmente la canzone più famosa, nonché la più bella dell'intero disco.
State alla larga da questa versione rimasterizzata ... è veramente un insulto a questo grande disco.

La title-track "Bark At The Moon", una canzone di spaventosa energia, composta da riff geniali e da un solo degno di nota.
A mio parere è l’ultimo disco valido di Ozzy che però sa trasmettere un’energia altissima.
