Sentenced sono una band metal finlandese nata a Oulu nel 1989: dagli esordi death metal hanno progressivamente virato verso un sound gothic/rock melodico. Hanno concluso la loro carriera nel 2005 con The Funeral Album. Il chitarrista e principale compositore Miika Tenkula è scomparso nel 2009.
