Gli Slayer si sono sciolti.
Hanno concluso, così sembrerebbe, la loro carriera con un concerto a Los Angeles il 30 Novembre scorso.
Ho pochi minuti a mia disposizione, sperando che la mia connessione ad internet regga...da qualche giorno qui da me è un dramma collegarsi a Debaser, porca troia.
Quindi iniziamo subito e sono incazzato nero per una serie di circostanze, tra le quali quello scritto in homepage che mi ha rivoltato lo stomaco e mi ha fatto salire l'acidità di stomaco...da star male.
E quando sono così messo male, anche a livello di ansie e paranoie che abbondano durante le festività, ecco che ho bisogno della Musica violenta, delle sonore mazzate uditive. Ho bisogno degli Slayer...dannazione.

Non c'e più Jeff Hanneman passato a miglior, o peggior vita.
Dave Lombardo ha lasciato i compagni da tempo.
Ma i sostituti Gary Holt e Paul Bostaph tirano fuori gli artigli e colpiscono a morte.
Gli anni passano e si sente; soprattutto nella prestazione vocale di Tom Araya; ha perso quel tono assassino che lo ha reso famoso. Per più di 30 anni ha urlato dietro ad un microfono rovinandosi voce e corde vocali. Ma ha poca importanza tutto questo per me.
Perchè i 21 brani sono autentiche rasoiate, fendenti mortali suonati alla solita folle velocità. Un Thrash Metal che non ha alcun tipo di paragone. Nessuna band riesce ad avvicinarsi alla furia cieca generata dai quattro cavalieri dell'Apocalisse...Il male in musica...
Ho letto tante di quelle "puttanate" in rete a riguardo di questo live. Molti sostengono che non hanno più la forza degli esordi, che svolgono un compitino senza infamia e senza lode alcuna...la penso diversamente, nella maniera più assoluta.
Potrei stare qui delle ore a raccontare delle sensazioni che ho ricavato nell'ascolto della band. Ma è forse del tutto inutile...e poi non ho molto tempo come ho già detto...sono stanco ed ho sonno...
Ed allora mi basta citare gli ultimi SEI brani che vengono suonati uno di fila all'altro, senza interruzioni, senza che Tom Araya annunci (come sua consuetudine) i titoli: questa volta non è necessario.
32 minuti di caos luciferino: Seasons in the Abyss, Hell Awaits, South of Heaven, Raining Blood, Chemical Warfare... ne resta ancora una.
Non può essere che ANGEL OF DEATH...
Chi conosce la band ha capito già tutto, ha capito che non serve dire altro.
Grazie di tutto Slayer; grazie anche per le tante botte prese ai vostri concerti...almeno sei (ancora il numero del diavolo...) se ho ben contato.
