The Cramps

The Cramps sono un gruppo statunitense fondato da Lux Interior (Erick Lee Purkisher) e Poison Ivy (Kristy Marlana Wallace). Tra i pionieri del psychobilly, debuttano nei club newyorkesi del CBGB e pubblicano l’album d’esordio Songs the Lord Taught Us nel 1980. Famosi per i live incendiari e l’immaginario horror/B-movie, hanno influenzato punk, garage e rockabilly fino allo scioglimento seguito alla morte di Lux Interior nel 2009.
