Hanno pubblicato il primo singolo punk del Regno Unito (New Rose) e il primo album punk britannico (Damned Damned Damned), evolvendo poi verso sonorità goth, post‑punk e new wave. Tra i membri storici: Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible, Rat Scabies e Brian James. Sono tuttora attivi.
