Trapeze sono una band britannica formata a Cannock nel 1969 da Glenn Hughes, Mel Galley, Dave Holland, John Jones e Terry Rowley. Dopo l’esordio del 1970 (prodotto da John Lodge), la formazione si stabilizza in power trio con Hughes, Galley e Holland, fondendo hard rock con funk e soul in album come Medusa e You Are the Music... Hughes passerà ai Deep Purple, Galley ai Whitesnake e Holland ai Judas Priest.
