Wire sono un gruppo post‑punk inglese formato a Londra nel 1976 da Colin Newman, Graham Lewis, Bruce Gilbert e Robert Grey (Gotobed). Celebrati per la trilogia Pink Flag (1977), Chairs Missing (1978) e 154 (1979), hanno influenzato profondamente la new wave e sono tornati in attività stabile dai tardi ’90.
