Adagio è una band francese di progressive/power metal fondata dal chitarrista Stéphan Forté. Gli esordi con Sanctus Ignis e Underworld uniscono tecnica e spunti neo-classici; con Dominate il suono si fa più cupo; Archangels in Black mostra un cambio di rotta discusso. Nel tempo si sono alternati vocalist come David Readman e Gustavo Monsanto, con Kevin Codfert alle tastiere.
