Black Flag sono una band hardcore punk formata a Hermosa Beach (California) nel 1976 dal chitarrista Greg Ginn. Pionieri del DIY con l’etichetta SST, hanno definito l’hardcore americano con Damaged e spinto verso territori più lenti e pesanti con My War e Slip It In. Tra i cantanti storici figurano Keith Morris, Ron Reyes, Dez Cadena e Henry Rollins.
