Tutto comincia piano e poi esplode, si sonnecchia per poi urlare, si raccontano sogni che si trasformano in incubi. Ecco qual'è la simmetria... In questo album il pianoforte si alterna alle chitarre distorte, con un basso e una batteria sempre molto presenti e una voce che scivola dagli urli di rabbia ai falsetti più acuti.
Origin Of Symmetry è un passo avanti notevole da showbiz, che era confusionario e fin troppo casinaro, anche se non si discosta dallo stile dei Muse. C'è però una pecca: gli arrangiamenti sono troppo barocchi, con effetti e scale a ripetizione... Le canzoni però sono tutte bellissime, per non parlare della cover "Feeling Good" restaurata veramente alla grande. I Muse forse sono ancora un po' troppo casinari e barocchi, per i miei gusti, ma questo cd è veramente bello.

New Born, canzone eccezionale che inizia con un ottimo arrangiamento di pianoforte da far venire la pelle d’oca.
Origin of Symmetry è sicuramente l’album di maggiore successo dei Muse ed anche che li ha consacrati come successori dei Radiohead sul trono dell’Alternative Rock Britannico.
