Sono considerati pionieri assoluti dello shoegaze, grazie a dischi seminali come 'Isn't Anything' e il rivoluzionario 'Loveless' (1991), capolavoro citato tra i più influenti della musica alternativa. Dopo una lunga pausa, sono tornati nel 2013 con 'M B V'.
