The Roots

The Roots sono un gruppo hip hop di Philadelphia fondato alla fine degli anni ’80 da Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson e Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter. Famosi per l’uso di strumenti suonati e per un sound che intreccia hip hop, jazz, soul e funk, hanno pubblicato numerosi album acclamati e collaborato con una vasta rete di artisti. Dal 2009 sono la house band dei programmi di Jimmy Fallon (Late Night, poi The Tonight Show dal 2014).
