The Stone Roses sono una band di Manchester formata da Ian Brown, John Squire, Gary ‘Mani’ Mounfield e Alan ‘Reni’ Wren. Il debutto omonimo del 1989 è considerato un caposaldo del Madchester; dopo problemi legali arrivò il secondo album, Second Coming (1994). Sciolti nel 1996, si sono riuniti dal 2011 al 2017.
