Inizio subito con una premessa: gli u2 sono secondo me il miglior gruppo esistente.
Ho ascoltato moltissima musica (dai nirvana ai beatles, dai queen agli oasis, dagli iron maiden ai dream teather, dai led zeppelin ai who ecc. ecc.) e credo che il mix fra genialità artistica, stile inimitabile di Edge e voce del secolo di Bono sia il massimo che l'orecchio umano possa desiderare.
Certo,il mondo è bello perche è vario,e quindi molti mi daranno del pazzo.
Detto questo,dalle mie parti abbiamo sempre reputato questo album un capolavoro, poi, un bel giorno, vengo in internet e leggo di "ballate backstreetboyane", di lagne mortali, di carriera finita.
Secondo me un album con 5 canzoni come "Beautiful Day", "Stuck in a moment", "Elevation", "Walk on" e "Kite" merita un posto nei migliori album degli ultimi 20 anni.
Certo, il resto dell'album scivola via in scioltezza a parte le note positive di "In a little while" e "When I look at the world", poiché di più non si poteva chiedere. Concludo sfidando i soliti critici che trovo in fondo a ogni recensione in questo sito a trovare un gruppo migliore degli u2...

Il problema di questo disco è che non ha niente di nuovo. Mi sa troppo da trito.

Dire che gli U2 sono finiti con 'Achtung Baby' è eccessivo, ma 'All That You Can't Leave Behind' è il loro disco più insipido.
Potete immaginare, quando lo misi nel CD-player e partì 'Beautiful Day'. 3 anni di attesa, e sarebbe questo il singolo di lancio?
