Signore e Signori parlare male dei Death è impossibile e la cosa piu naturale e ke questi ragazzi ha sfornato uno dietro l'altro capolavori, invenzioni, geni, ecc.
L'apice si chiama proprio questo 'sound of perseverance' ed anke l'ultimo primo della morte di Chuck Schuldiner (rip) alcuni dicono che sia il suo testamento spirituale tutti questi brani sono stati scritti per il suo progetto parallelo Control Denied progetto di heavy metal mentre i Death si scioglievano pero le composizioni erano piu adattate ai Death.
Un suono davvero tutto omogeneo, le canzoni sembrano legata a doppio filo tra loro sembra anche analizzata la filosolofia del poeta tedescho Frederick Nietzche, fatalista come pochi e analizzata con estrema esecuzione. Le canzoni sono nuove, da "scarevenger of human sorrow" si capisce le intenzioni del gruppo tecnica, virtuorsimo, melodia, ecc. Senza trascurare le pause di riflessione. "Bite the pain" è piu intressiva attraversa la vita di Frederick Nietzche ottime musiche come sempre, "spirit crusher" sorprende gia dal inizio con un riff mozzafiato, la leggera "story to tell" ke è più lineare da un punto di vista musicale e descrive la tragica fine del mondo, "Flesh and the power it holds" descrive invece il potere che il corpo e imprigionare se stessi ed e il brano piu lungo e complicato del disco, "voice of soul" e l'unico brano dei Death con chitarra acustica qui Chuck ha registrato tutto da solo, "to forgive my suffer" è a mio avviso molto interessante ke poi arriva nel finale da sbattolamento dei volumi, "a moment of clarity" descrive il cieco buio dell'uomo che tiene attacato ai suoi sogni alle suo speranze.
"Painkiller" invece è la chiara dimostrazione ke i lavori contenuti in "sound of perseravance" la voce di chuck e tra lo screaming death e una voce heavy metal la canzone cover dei judas priest (painkiller 1990) è molto bella ed e la canzone piu orrechiabile del disco. E dunque questo capolavoro è terminato e cosi si ferma la carriera dei death un gruppo comandato da il suo condottiero e a scritto tra le pagine piu belle, piu intriganti del death metal ci auguriamo che Chuck continui a suonare la sua chittara dal il paradiso.
In questo mondo se ne vanno sempre i migliori e le merde tipo fred durst invece no. Grazie mille Chuck Schuldiner, lode ai Death.

Un grandissimo capolavoro death-metal.
La speranza di tutti è quella che da ‘lassù’ il grande Chuck continui a suonare la sua chitarra e continui a cantare death-metal, come solo lui sapeva fare.

Questo album è pieno di capolavori, cominciando subito con 'Scavenger' che ci fa capire che è un master-piece.
Il modo di cantare di Chuck è perfetto per il tipo di brani proposti, regalando emozioni uniche.

The Sound Of Perseverance è il miglior album della storia del metal.
Voice Of The Soul è un gioiello strumentale che nessuno, nemmeno il più estremo degli ascoltatori di dance, troverà brutto o inascoltabile.

Hai presente quella sensazione di trovarsi davanti a un colosso che ti toglie il fiato? Ecco, così ho provato ascoltando l'ultimo capitolo dei Death.
Ogni singolo brano riesce a trasudare sentimenti da ogni nota e soprattutto dalla voce di Chuck, un vero monumento dell’heavy metal.
