The Blasters nascono a fine anni ’70 nell’area di Los Angeles per iniziativa dei fratelli Phil (voce/chitarra) e Dave Alvin (chitarra), con John Bazz (basso) e Bill Bateman (batteria). Uniscono rock’n’roll, rockabilly, R&B, country e un’attitudine punk. Pubblicano per Slash Records album fondamentali come The Blasters, Non Fiction e Hard Line. Dopo la separazione del 1986 e la carriera solista di Dave, la band torna dal 2002.
